End of Tenancy Hood Clean
An end-of-tenancy hood clean is a handover visit for landlords, agents, and tenants. The aim is a hood with clean filters and no sticky canopy, so the kitchen does not fail on grease above the hob. It is not a full inventory clean of the oven, fridge, or cupboards.
Which fittings this covers
Included
- Filters cleaned and refitted
- Canopy underside degreased
- Visible housing wiped
- A hood that is dry enough to show at hand-back
Not this visit
- We do not repair or replace the fan motor, wiring, or switches.
- We do not fit a new hood or alter the duct route.
- A whole-kitchen or oven clean is a different visit.
- We do not issue a compliance certificate for a commercial extract system.
Signs it is time
- A check-out note about grease above the hob
- Filters left unwashed for the whole tenancy
- A sticky strip along the cupboard
What changes the quote
The quote is for the hood, not the whole kitchen. One domestic hood is the usual job. Say if there are two hoods, or if the filters are damaged and may need replacing.
DIY and after the visit
A quick spray on handover morning still leaves grease in the mesh. If the inventory mentions the extractor, book the filter and canopy clean rather than wiping the front only.
You can cook again once the metal is dry and the filters are back in. A light film of new grease is normal after the next fry-up. Book again when filters look loaded or the fan smells of old oil as soon as it starts.
